George Lopez has been gearing up for the launch later this week of his new FX comedy "Saint George," which is about a successful entrepreneur grappling with a messy personal and family life. The series stands out as a personal touchstone for the 52-year-old comedian, whose résumé includes a groundbreaking network sitcom, a hip late-night cable talk show and sold-out arena performances. But a not-so-funny thing happened on the way to Thursday's premiere. Lopez was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication late last week after a performance at Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino in Windsor, Ontario.

George Lopez, who is starring in the new FX comedy "Saint George," exhibited less-than-saintly behavior following a performance in a casino in Canada, according to reports. TMZ reported that the comedian was arrested for public intoxication at Caesars Windsor in Ontario after officers found him passed out on the floor of the casino bar. He had performed at the casino just prior to his arrest. PHOTOS: Celebrity meltdowns The report said that no charges were filed against Lopez, who was released and is scheduled to perform Friday night.

A shallow magnitude 4.1-magnitude earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon 24 miles from Caliente, Nev., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:30 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5 miles. According to the USGS, the epicenter was 38 miles from Saint George, Utah, 38 miles from Mesquite, Nev., 41 miles from Washington, Utah and 265 miles from Salt Lake City. In the last 10 days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.

George Lopez has gone into damage control mode, explaining how he wound up arrested in a Canadian casino Thursday after passing out drunk. "Tied one on last night," the comedian said in a statement. "Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor. " Lopez was arrested for public intoxication at Caesars Windsor in Ontario after officers found him passed out on the floor of the casino bar, TMZ reported . He had performed at the casino just prior to his arrest.

"Tied one on last night," the comedian said Friday in a statement obtained by Show Tracker . "Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor. " No charges were filed against the comic, according to TMZ , which said Lopez was put in a drunk tank to sober up and later was released.

A Los Angeles man was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence after a skateboarder was struck and killed in the Los Feliz neighborhood. Adam Paul Means, 26, was booked and later released on $25,000 bail, authorities said. David Lambrecht, a 28-year-old Chicago resident, was riding a skateboard on Saint George Street approaching Lyric Avenue when Means' car struck him, police said.
