Two teenage boys from Fresno have been arrested in connection with the shootings of seven horses and a cow. The boys, 16 and 17 years old, are charged with shooting the animals from a roadway between March 10 and 12. Five of the horses died. The shooting spree caused $200,000 in damages.

A Sanger couple alleged that their 14-year-old daughter was hog-tied with duct tape and partly stripped by her teammates during a hazing incident. They are suing the school district, the high school's athletic director and two soccer coaches, alleging that the events, which allegedly happened during a trip to a Bakersfield soccer tournament in December 2002, qualified as sexual assault.
