Sarah Jessica Parker has welcomed a reporter to her townhouse in New York City's West Village for an interview and a peek inside, and SJP fans with enough fortitude to withstand the interview's rapid-fire pace are welcome to sneak a peek. She's shared the home with husband Matthew Broderick for about 13 years, with son James Wilkie and twin daughters Loretta and Tabitha joining them in 2002 and 2009, respectively. The joint has a homey but sophisticated feel, punctuated by shelves full of books, a piano, the actress' collection of globes and a pingpong table smack in the middle of everything.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who brought the shoe-loving Carrie Bradshaw to life on "Sex and the City," is reverting to type: She is launching a shoe collection in collaboration with George Malkemus, longtime head of Manolo Blahnik. “In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me," Parker, who also recently traveled to the Philippines for a Shoe Mart opening, told Vogue. Parker's new line is to go on sale, exclusively at Nordstrom, early next year. [Vogue] Hollywood legend Esther Williams, who died Thursday , was a swimming star, but also a style icon, reports fashion critic Booth Moore, and she had a lot to do with popularizing the swimsuits made by Cole of California.

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is scheduled to show off her new shoe collection in L.A. on Thursday. The fashion-savvy Parker teamed with Manolo Blahnik Chief Executive Officer George Malkemus to develop the much-anticipated SJP collection, which launched exclusively at Nordstrom on Friday. It includes 25 made-in-Italy shoe styles ($195-$485), three handbags ($245-$375) and one trench coat ($495), as writer Ingrid Schmidt explained in a Q&A with Parker on All the Rage on Tuesday.

Sarah Jessica Parker couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to collaborate with footwear designer Manolo Blahnik, and Carrie Bradshaw would be shaking in her sky-high boots right about now. (Cue Bradshaw yelp of excitement!) The "Sex and the City" star, now 48, graces the cover of Harper's Bazaar September issue, the biggest issue the fashion glossy has after had. She wears a glitter gold Marc Jacobs gown on the cover, and is photographed by Terry Richardson in Chanel, Gucci and Oscar de la Renta inside the codex.

President Obama came to the right person to raise money Thursday night:  “Sex and the City” icon Sarah Jessica Parker. In one memorable episode, she said (as Carrie), “I like my money right where I can see it -- hanging in my closet.” The president probably would prefer it in his campaign coffers. At the  Manhattan home of Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick, Obama raised about $2 million, with 50 people paying $40,000 each to attend. Broderick had to work - he's starring in the Gershwin musical “Nice Work if You Can Get It” on Broadway.

Blythe Danner and Sarah Jessica Parker will play mother and daughter facing family and fiscal troubles in Peet's new off-Broadway production. "The Commons of Pensacola" will begin previews at the Manhattan Theatre Club on Oct. 22 and open Nov. 21. Lynne Meadow will direct. But that doesn't necessarily mean a third "Sex and the City" film based on the HBO comedy is already being cobbled together. In an appearance Wednesday appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the 48-year-old actress confronted the notion of another iteration of the sartorially charged series about the sexual exploits and relationships of four well-heeled New York women.
