New SC Funding Quarters: SC Funding Corp. has selected Plaza Tower in Costa Mesa for its new corporate headquarters. The company, which is the largest privately held mortgage bank in Orange County, signed a 10-year lease for 38,677 square feet of space, said broker Pat Papaccio at Grubb & Ellis in Newport Beach, which represented SC Funding. The mortgage bank will occupy the top two floors of the 21-story building in the South Coast Plaza Town Center.

Spreading Out: SC Funding, the largest privately held mortgage banking firm in Orange County, has expanded its office space at its new Plaza Tower quarters in Costa Mesa by 53%. The company, which moved into the 21-story, stainless steel office building earlier this year, picked up 20,624 square feet of space to add to its original lease of 38,677 square feet. It now occupies the top three floors of the structure designed by architect Cesar Pelli.

Unveiling the largest public stock offering this year by an Orange County company, DiTech Funding Corp. filed plans to raise $110.4 million by selling a minority stake in the company. The Irvine-based mortgage lender, in documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, did not disclose how many shares it plans to sell or provide an estimated price range for the stock. It listed a top estimate of $110.
