Stan Quina, a volunteer assistant football coach at Royal High, has filed suit against the Simi Valley Unified School District and Simi Valley High principal Kathryn Scroggin. In the suit, Quina claims he was promised a $1,600-a-year position on the Royal coaching staff and that he was damaged by slanderous comments Scroggin and district representatives made accusing him of misappropriating school funds while he was a coach at Simi Valley.
