A school bus driver was killed Monday when her bus hit the center divider of the Golden State Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said. The accident happened about 1 p.m. on the southbound side of the freeway south of Gorman School Road. There were no students on the bus, said Officer Grant Vaughn of the CHP's Fort Tejon office. The driver's identity is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
