The biggest challenge for the Los Alamitos Unified School District may be readjusting to life without the Orange County High School of the Arts, according to the district's newest board member. "The biggest thing right now is to resolve the process of OCHSA leaving," said Robert Haub, 60, who was voted in to the school board last week. "There's going to be a lot of adjustments." The Seal Beach resident said any time there's a change, there's a period of transition.

Dozens of residents packed the board room of Capistrano Unified School District on Monday to hear the decision on new attendance boundaries, but many left as the meeting continued into the night with trustees first addressing a number of other issues on a long meeting agenda. Many parents have said they do not want their children to change schools, citing financial, emotional and social investments made in their current campuses.
