Wyle Labs to Sell Scientific Services Unit: William E. Simon & Sons Inc. said it is leading a group of investors that signed a definitive agreement to acquire Wyle Laboratories' Scientific Services & Systems division for $30 million in cash. The group includes F. Stephen Wyle, the son of the founder of Irvine-based Wyle Laboratories, and some members of the division's senior management. They expect to complete the acquisition in three months.
