When your TV is longer diagonally than most people are tall, that's when you have the largest LED TV on the planet. That's what Sharp has. The Japanese company Tuesday introduced what it contends is the largest LED TV in the world, announcing and launching the 90-inch Aquos LED TV. The TV is 4 feet tall, 8 feet diagonally and more than 6 feet wide with a depth of 5 inches. Sharp says it  weighs 141 pounds.  In addition to its impressive screen size, its other features seem solid.

Like watching everything on a big screen? Here's a way to take along (or more accurately, create) a big screen from a small package wherever you roam. The BEM Wireless Kickstand HD Projector is a portable projector that swivels out of its own integrated combined handle, carrying case and A-frame stand - all in an 8 1/4-by-7 1/2-by1 1/2-inch-deep package. It weighs about 2 pounds. The Kickstand can project an image onto a surface (such as a wall) as close as a foot or as far away as 10 feet, creating a viewable screen size of from 9 to 90 inches diagonally.

Screen size does matter especially when a special-effects-heavy movie like "Armageddon" is involved. With the second meteor movie of the season now playing at theaters everywhere--Disney's "Armageddon" followed DreamWorks' "Deep Impact"--moviegoers faced a dizzying array of choices--as many as six screens per location--but very little guarantee they would see the visual spectacle in its full glory.

Samsung's Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is a powerful tablet with a huge screen rivaling that of laptops. But don't think of it as replacing your laptop anytime soon. The South Korean tech giant has packed the Galaxy Note Pro with an enormous 12.2-inch screen and numerous software features meant to let users perform the same types of tasks that they could on a computer, such as running one app on top of another at the same time. Samsung says it made the tablet so users can be productive and look professional holding it. The tablet features Samsung's stitched faux-leather back cover that the company has begun to use on many of its products.

A bigger screen, a new design, a faster chip and 4G connectivity. Those mentally queuing up for the new iPhone, you may be able to look forward to a big change if details about screen size and form factor from an analyst's recent tour of facilities in China hold true. Business Insider reports that analyst Brian J. White of Topeka Capital Markets wrote to investors: “In our view, this will be the most significant iPhone upgrade with a four-inch screen and a new, sleek look that we believe will require a Unibody case.” You'll note that despite the various changes from the introduction of the first iPhone to the fifth (that'd actually be iPhone 4S)

A 6-inch screen iPhone? It could happen. Days ahead of the expected iPhone 5S announcement, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is testing iPhone designs with screens larger than any it has had before. The report says Apple is testing screens as small as 4.8 inches and as large as 6 inches, which would be a huge leap in size for the iPhone. The latest version of the device, the iPhone 5, features a 4-inch screen. That size is likely to remain on the iPhone 5S and 5C models that are expected to be announced Tuesday.

A new report says Samsung will announce a 5.8-inch screen phone for the European market, but it's the device's odd name that's getting all the attention.  The phone will reportedly be called the "Fonblet," which is about as strange as strange gets with smartphone names these days. We're not sure if Samsung would be trying to combine the sound of the front part of "phone" with the back end of "tablet," but that might make sense considering the device will have a large screen.

If you own an iPhone 5, then there's a good chance you haven't found the YouTube app very useful. YouTube says that'll change soon. Currently, the app is designed for prior generation of iPhones with 3.5-inch screens, not for the larger 4.0-inch screen on the iPhone 5. That means that when using the app, there's no way to watch a full-screen video because it isn't built to fill the iPhone 5's display. This same goes for the fifth-generation iPod Touch, which came out last month and also has an increased display size.

Greg Kinnear just might be the poor man's antihero. At a time when the television scene is seemingly at capacity with its band of flawed leading men plagued by moral ambiguity, the actor is tasked with dining alongside the brooding men of prestige television - the Don Drapers, Rick Grimes, Nucky Thompsons, etc. - as degenerate Keegan Deane in Fox's reworking of Australian-import "Rake," which gets its midseason unveiling Jan. 23. Only it's...

Well, it's all over but the shouting. And the analysts' notes. And the target price estimate revisions. Apple released record numbers Wednesday and received a swift kick in the head from investors who bludgeoned the stock. But during a one-hour earnings call with analysts after the earnings were released, CEO Tim Cook offered lots of happy talk. While analysts certainly seemed muted in their responses and skeptical in their questioning, Cook oozed confidence and optimism while avoiding getting defensive.

How many Californians keep an old television set or computer monitor stashed in the garage, a closet or a back room? Millions, because so few can figure out just how to get rid of the stuff. Worse than storing that electronic mess, many have hidden a machine in the bottom of the trash barrel or cloaked it in a large garbage bag headed for the landfill. That's illegal, of course. So what to do?

Apple is touting iPhone 5's larger display, but many of the most popular apps for the smartphone have yet to adjust to the 4-inch screen. The new screen is about half an inch longer diagonally than that of its five predecessors, a fact that the Cupertino tech giant has been promoting in commercials showcasing the phone. But while the expanded screen is a big improvement, a good number of popular apps have not been updated to work with the larger display, giving the apps a shortened look.
