Security Environmental Systems Inc. said Wednesday that it has won a $500,000 hazardous waste disposal contract from a leading aerospace company in Southern California. Security Environmental officials said the aerospace company did not grant permission for its identity to be revealed. The one-year account is the first that Security Environmental has won from a major aerospace client.

Security Environmental Systems Inc., which manages and disposes of hazardous waste, said its common shares will begin trading today on the Nasdaq market. The Huntington Beach company's stock formerly traded on Nasdaq's "small-cap" listing. The company will keep SENV as its trading symbol. The change, the company said, will give brokers and investors better pricing information.

Security Environmental Systems Inc., a Garden Grove biomedical and hazardous waste disposal company, said that it has entered into an option agreement to sell its Vernon property to an unidentified waste disposal company. If the option is exercised, Security Environmental will receive more than $1.5 million after costs. The initial option will terminate on Dec. 31, 1992, but may be extended.

Security Environmental Systems Inc. was awarded a one-year contract with Norris Industries in Long Beach to dispose of that company's hazardous waste. The contract, which is renewable in a year, is worth $500,000 for the first year, the company said. Security Environmental, based in Huntington Beach, cleans up and disposes of waste for companies and the federal government in the West, Midwest and Southeast.
