General Automation Inc. said it has completed its acquisition of software company Sequoia Enterprise Systems for about $11 million. The acquisition of Sequoia, a unit of Houston-based Sequoia Systems Inc., will boost General Automation's annual revenue to nearly $50 million, nearly double existing revenue, said Jane Christie, president and chief executive of the Irvine computer services firm.

General Automation Inc. has agreed to acquire a business unit of Houston-based Sequoia Systems Inc. for $11 million in cash, stock and deferred payments, the companies said Thursday. Irvine-based General Automation, which sells and maintains computer systems for corporate customers, will also assume $3 million of Sequoia debt.
