By burying 10 big-finned Cadillacs nose down near old Route 66 at the precise angle of Egypt's Great Pyramid, iconoclastic oil-and-gas heir Stanley Marsh 3 put this drab Panhandle town on the map of Americana. A grand jury in Houston found insufficient evidence to indict USC football recruit Antoine Simpson on sexual assault charges, according to Kent Schaffer, Simpson's attorney. Simpson and a friend had been accused by a teen-ager in Houston of assaulting her at a party May 29. Schaffer said Simpson, a defensive lineman, still intends to enroll at USC this fall.

Antione Simpson, the USC football recruit charged last week with sexual assault, will testify before a grand jury in Houston later this month or in early July. Kent Schaffer, Simpson's attorney, said all "eight or nine" people at a May 29 party where a 15-year-old girl says Simpson and a friend took turns restraining and assaulting her will testify on Simpson's behalf. "Everyone who was there, except for the girl, supports Antione's version of the events, not the girl's," Schaffer said.
