Gymnast Mary Lou Retton, an Olympic gold medal winner, and former Texas quarterback Shannon Kelley are engaged to be married. Kelley said the two have been engaged since February. "Right now I've got 12 hours left this summer to graduate. I want to graduate and have a job before we get married," Kelley said. "We'll probably get married next spring or summer." Retton won a gold medal in the all-around competition at the 1984 Olympics at Los Angeles. Kelley finished his eligibility with the Longhorns football team last season.

Disco music and movies are warmly embraced these days as part of pop culture nostalgia. The era, which began in the mid-'70s, encouraged a whole generation to dance and party — often to excess. And don't even mention the outrageous clothes. It was an era that ended abruptly; a year after the final disco-themed movies were released in 1980, the AIDS epidemic began and the fun was over. Most of the disco movies are considered campy cult faves, but 1977's "Saturday Night Fever" is a bona fide classic.

Kendall Trainor, who missed a field goal and extra-point try in the first half, kicked three second-half field goals Saturday night to provide the margin of victory in Arkansas' 21-13 victory over Mississippi at Little Rock. Trainor, only 1 of 3 on field goal tries this season after suffering a pulled muscle in his kicking leg, missed an extra point and a 21-yard field-goal try in the first half but was good from 31, 38 and 43 yards in the second half.
