Actress Sharon Stone has listed her Beverly Hills area compound for sale at $8,995,000. The walled and gated Mediterranean estate sits at the end of a private road on five acres with pathways, bridges, waterfalls, fruit trees, a meditation garden, a swimming pool and a tennis court with viewing pavilion. The main house, built in 1991, includes a paneled library with a fireplace and an oversized living room with a wet bar. The master suite has a fireplace, dual bathrooms, dual dressing rooms and a terrace.

James Franco has yet another new undertaking: employee of "The Colbert Report. " The actor appeared on the Comedy Central program Tuesday and said he wanted to work for host Stephen Colbert. One of Franco's many interests is performance art, and he said he considers Colbert — who plays the role of the conservative host of the satire news commentary show — a great contemporary artist. Said Franco: "You rule. I want to work with you. 'SVU' nabs Sharon Stone "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" has landed a high-profile guest star to spice up its 11th season. Sharon Stone is joining the NBC drama for four episodes, playing a prosecutor who used to be a police officer, the network announced Tuesday. Stone has not yet begun shooting the episodes, which will air later this season. "It is obviously a thrill and a delight to have a star of Sharon's wattage and importance joining 'SVU,' " executive producer Dick Wolf said in a statement.

A judge who kept a lawsuit involving actress Sharon Stone hidden from public view for six months acknowledged Friday that she made a mistake and ordered the case unsealed. In a statement attached to the newly opened file, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Maureen Duffy-Lewis said a series of missteps, each committed "inadvertently," led to the concealment of every part of the case -- including its very existence.

President Obama's inaugural committee raised at least $53 million from donors for his swearing-in festivities. That's about $11 million more than President George W. Bush raised for each of his two Inauguration Days. Obama's inaugural committee filed a report with the Federal Election Commission listing donors who gave $200 or more. Obama had already voluntarily disclosed his biggest donors on the inaugural committee's website. The committee accepted donations of up to $50,000 from individuals.
