A vibe in no particular search of a plot, "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III" channels '70s mellow and '30s style through a prism of California dreamin'. In this Charlie Sheen vehicle, the fizzy mood and visuals are often, well, winning. For his second stint in the feature director's chair (after 2001's "CQ"), Roman Coppola has fashioned a noodling indulgence that's alternately freewheeling and dead in the water. The on-screen action never matters or fully engages, but for Sheen fans who are tracking his ongoing image rehabilitation, and those willing to go with the cinematic flow, the self-conscious exercise in low-budget dress-up offers some rewards.

Charlie Sheen didn't have anything good to say about disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong during his interview on the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno on Wednesday. Of course, Sheen is an authority on the subject of bad behavior. When Leno, himself not a fan of Armstrong, asked Sheen about the cancer survivor turned seven-time Tour de France champion, Sheen got right to the point. "He's kind of a douche," Sheen quickly replied of Armstrong, who has been banned from competition for life and stripped of his championships for finally admitting what everyone had come to suspect -- that he used performance-enhancing drugs.

In the off chance you were lying awake at night wondering what America's greatest moral philosopher Charlie Sheen thinks about Lance Armstrong, your wait is over: He's “kind of a douche,” the “Anger Management” star told Jay Leno on Thursday on “The Tonight Show.” When asked about the ongoing revelations about Armstrong's doping, Sheen -- hardly an exemplar of virtue himself -- revealed that he's not exactly a fan of the disgraced...

Charlie Sheen is at it again: giving away money, this time to help cover funeral expenses. The "Anger Management" actor on Wednesday reportedly wrote a $12,000 check to the family of Chris Guerra, a paparazzo who died after being hit by a car on New Year's Day. "A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject," Sheen's rep told TMZ, which obtained a shot of the check , written off Charlie's pocket account....

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa found himself sucked deeper into the Charlie Sheen-TMZ-Hollywood gossip vortex Tuesday, with the actor speaking out again about the night they met up at a hotel in Mexico over the holidays. Sheen made news last month after he tweeted a picture of himself with his arm around Villaraigosa the night of Sheen's bar opening in Baja California, Mexico. The former star of "Two and a Half Men" praised the mayor as a man who "knows how to party. " But Villaraigosa downplayed the significance of the image, telling KNBC's Conan Nolan over the weekend that he had only "bumped into" Sheen and engaged in a three-minute conversation.

Charlie Sheen hasn't garnered much attention for his big-screen activity lately, and when he does, it's for mainly stunt-y turns. But when the tiger-blooded one isn't busy taking on cameos or loaning Lindsay Lohan money, he's actually been flexing his filmic muscles. Sheen plays the lead role in the Feb. 8 release "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III," a part in which he -- wait for it -- plays a well-off charmer who begins to come undone. Hollywood mainstay Roman Coppola, who wrote, produced and makes his return to feature directing with the film, says Sheen will surprise a lot of people with his turn.

Charlie Sheen's generosity continues: The "Anger Management" star and his stunt double have contributed a total of $100,000 to a fund benefiting the cancer-stricken daughter of a Hermosa Beach police officer. "Big news today for the Faulk family. Together, Eddie Braun and Charlie Sheen donated $100,000.00 to the HBPOA in support of Jasmine's fight against cancer," said a post on the fund's Facebook page, which included a photo of Sheen's check. "All proceeds go to the Faulk family to support their daughter.

Charlie Sheen thinks Lindsay Lohan is "a very good and decent young lady that is just going through a lot. " But he does kind of wish she'd go through the process of saying thanks after he sent $100,000 her way. "I'm still waiting for a text to say 'thank you,' " Sheen lightheartedly told "Entertainment Tonight" in an interview set to air Monday. "Anything, you know?" Sheen and Lohan worked together on "Scary Movie 5," and when he learned she was having money troubles, he said, he decided to "pay it forward.
