Charlie Sheen is at it again: giving away money, this time to help cover funeral expenses. The "Anger Management" actor on Wednesday reportedly wrote a $12,000 check to the family of Chris Guerra, a paparazzo who died after being hit by a car on New Year's Day. "A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject," Sheen's rep told TMZ, which obtained a shot of the check , written off Charlie's pocket account....

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa found himself sucked deeper into the Charlie Sheen-TMZ-Hollywood gossip vortex Tuesday, with the actor speaking out again about the night they met up at a hotel in Mexico over the holidays. Sheen made news last month after he tweeted a picture of himself with his arm around Villaraigosa the night of Sheen's bar opening in Baja California, Mexico. The former star of "Two and a Half Men" praised the mayor as a man who "knows how to party. " But Villaraigosa downplayed the significance of the image, telling KNBC's Conan Nolan over the weekend that he had only "bumped into" Sheen and engaged in a three-minute conversation.

Charlie Sheen hasn't garnered much attention for his big-screen activity lately, and when he does, it's for mainly stunt-y turns. But when the tiger-blooded one isn't busy taking on cameos or loaning Lindsay Lohan money, he's actually been flexing his filmic muscles. Sheen plays the lead role in the Feb. 8 release "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III," a part in which he -- wait for it -- plays a well-off charmer who begins to come undone. Hollywood mainstay Roman Coppola, who wrote, produced and makes his return to feature directing with the film, says Sheen will surprise a lot of people with his turn.

Charlie Sheen's generosity continues: The "Anger Management" star and his stunt double have contributed a total of $100,000 to a fund benefiting the cancer-stricken daughter of a Hermosa Beach police officer. "Big news today for the Faulk family. Together, Eddie Braun and Charlie Sheen donated $100,000.00 to the HBPOA in support of Jasmine's fight against cancer," said a post on the fund's Facebook page, which included a photo of Sheen's check. "All proceeds go to the Faulk family to support their daughter.

Charlie Sheen thinks Lindsay Lohan is "a very good and decent young lady that is just going through a lot. " But he does kind of wish she'd go through the process of saying thanks after he sent $100,000 her way. "I'm still waiting for a text to say 'thank you,' " Sheen lightheartedly told "Entertainment Tonight" in an interview set to air Monday. "Anything, you know?" Sheen and Lohan worked together on "Scary Movie 5," and when he learned she was having money troubles, he said, he decided to "pay it forward.

News Corp.'s Fox Television Stations Group has acquired rerun rights to Charlie Sheen's new comedy "Anger Management. " The deal keeps the show in the same family. News Corp.'s cable network FX telecasts new episodes of the show. "Anger Management" premiered to solid if not spectacular ratings for FX earlier this year, averaging close to 5 million viewers per episode. That was good enough for the cable channel to agree to order an additional 90 episodes. That commitment allowed the show's production company, Debmar-Mercury, to sell reruns to the Fox stations after just 10 episodes.

Jon Cryer may have taken home an Emmy for lead actor in a comedy Sunday night, but talking to reporters backstage, he wanted to offer his thoughts on a very different topic: Miley Cyrus' new haircut. He brought it up on his own. “I love it. I think it's fantastic,” he said, when weighing in on the Disney's alum's upcoming guest spot on “Two and a Half Men.” Cryer said he was more confident in putting himself in the running for a lead actor with the departure of cast mate Charlie Sheen.

Charlie Harper is worth more dead than alive - at least to Emmy voters. Kathy Bates, who did a guest role as the cigar-smoking ghost of the former lead character of the hit CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men," won TV's most-coveted statuette at Saturday's Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Harper, the irrepressible playboy once at the center of the show, was played by Charlie Sheen, who exited in 2011 after a long string of personal troubles and an acrimonious dispute with producers.

Charlie Sheen's "Anger Management" has managed a major renewal. The FX comedy starring the fired lead of "Two and A Half Men" has received a 90-episode order from the cable network. The order came as part of the original deal for the comedy to generate a designated viewership level over the airing of eight of its first 10 episodes. Said Chuck Saftler, executive vice president of FX Networks: "We set a very high ratings bar that included some additional hurdles for 'Anger Management' to ear its back-90 order and exceeded those metrics.
