Drink a toast to road kill Ricki Kline was going slightly mad at the soft opening for Seven Grand on Friday night. As the designer was giving folks a sneak preview of the new downtown L.A. bar, he was slightly perturbed because the "clack" of billiard balls was missing. What are Angelenos craving this holiday season? New bars, apparently. After a somewhat "dry" fall, this winter brings openings aplenty, with five venues debuting this month alone. Shag, the sexy new nightclub at the former Concorde, at the northern tip of the Cahuenga corridor, has sugar and spice and everything nice -- and just the right dashes of feminine mystique. The opulent club is owned by a woman, designed by a woman and its hottest promoter just happens to be a daughter of Eve.
