Singer Sheryl Crow, who dated Lance Armstrong from 2003 to 2006, is talking about her former boyfriend's revelation that he used performance-enhancing drugs. Her comments will air Tuesday in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight. " "I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free," Crow said. "It must be really hard to walk around knowing you are not telling the truth about something. So I always contend that the truth is the best way to go. Sheryl Crow reportedly witnessed Lance Armstrong receive a banned blood transfusion and told federal investigators, according to a new book "Wheelman" by Wall Street Journal reporters Reed Albergotti and Vanessa O'Connell. The book, which comes out Tuesday , alleges that the singer went with Armstrong to Belgium and witnessed a procedure in 2004. "Rather than try to hide the transfusion from her, Armstrong was completely open about it. He trusted that Crow would have no desire to tell the press or anyone else about the team's doping program.

Looking at the 2013 CMT Music Awards red carpet Wednesday, I was struck by how eclectic the stars and attendees are at country events. I mean, there were Taylor Swift, Kristen Bell and Nicole Kidman in flirty short dresses, Carrie Underwood in turquoise shorts, Kellie Pickler in a long, fluid, bedazzled halter gown and Larry the Cable Guy looking like Larry the Cable Guy in his usual jeans, sleeveless T-shirt and cap. Despite the improving luxury home market in Southern California, some celebrities have yet to find buyers and are adjusting their listing prices. Among those loping off dollars is Sheryl Crow. The Grammy-winning singer listed her three-house compound in Hollywood Hills West at $15.95 million at the beginning of October and has since reduced it by $2 million. The new asking price of $13.95 million is a 12.5% cut. The 11-acre property includes a Spanish Revival main house, a 1909 Craftsman, a cottage built in 1885, an infinity-style swimming pool and a pergola with a fireplace and barbecue.

Sheryl Crow says she has a brain tumor - one that was found after she became concerned about her increasingly spotty memory. Crow's benign meningioma showed up during a screening the breast cancer survivor had done in November on a hunch. "I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor," Crow recently told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "And I was, like, 'See? I knew there was something wrong.' " Though frequently referred to as "brain tumors," meningiomas actually form in the lining around the brain and spinal cord.

Foodies might talk about "24 Hour Restaurant Battle." In each episode of the Food Network's latest confection, two teams of aspiring restaurateurs face off — in a span of 24 hours — to prove they have the know-how to open their own restaurant. Actual diners will be served and a panel of restaurant experts will pick a winner. Think "America's Next Top Model" meets "Top Chef."(Sunday) Usher might make you wanna talk about "Behind the Music." After Zac Brown chose to sing "Martin," a love song to his guitar, everyone on stage with him Tuesday night at Club Nokia for this year's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum benefit concert quickly fell in line and served up songs inspired by their own instruments. No surprise there: All musicians have a story about their first instrument. At this annual round-robin "guitar pull" session, rooted in a Nashville living-room music tradition widely credited to Johnny Cash and June Carter, the symbiotic connection between musicians and their tools is a fundamental one. That relationship is more palpable than ever since last year's flooding ravaged the country music capital and damaged or destroyed an untold number of instruments precious to those who not only earn a living with them, but who use them to express their deepest feelings.

Sheryl Crow is no rock 'n' roll trailblazer, but the music does seem to come naturally to her. On a cool, misty night Sunday at the Hollywood Bowl, Crow was once again a folk-rocker, with a Keith Richards guitar jones, and a dedicated, unpretentious student of classic rock.
