Three Detroit police officers trying to pull over a van suspected of being involved in an abduction were shot and critically injured. Police Chief Benny Napoleon said one of the officers was expected to survive, but it was too early to tell whether the other two will pull through. "According to the description of one officer who was on the scene who was not injured, they were under very heavy gunfire from a very high-powered assault type weapon," Napoleon said.
