Percy Harvin got his wish. After reportedly demanding a trade out of Minnesota over the weekend, Harvin has been dealt to the Seattle Seahawks pending a physical, according to multiple sources. Fox Sports' Jay Glazer was the first to report the deal, which seems to work out for everyone involved. The Vikings are to receive three draft picks from the Seahawks -- a first-round (No. 25 overall) and a seventh-round this year, and a mid-round pick in 2014 -- for a player who had threatened to hold out well into the 2013 season and appeared to have no intention of sticking around once his rookie contract ran out a year from now. The Seahawks add a former Pro Bowler and 2009 offensive rookie of the year to a receiving corps that already includes Sidney Rice and Golden Tate.

Stumbling starts have been a hallmark of the San Diego Chargers in recent years, with the franchise usually — but not always — clawing its way out of a deep hole to reach the postseason. With the first practice of training camp two days away, the Chargers again find themselves playing catch-up, thanks to a 4½-month lockout. Their only solace? So is every other NFL team. "I'm not going to compare our situation to any of the other 31 teams, I'm going to compare our situation to where we've been in the past, and we are way behind," Coach Norv Turner said Wednesday.

It was supposed to be too late for Brett Favre. Too late in his career. Too late in the season. Too late to make it work with his head coach. By now, he was supposed to be on a tractor on his farm in Mississippi. Instead, he was helping the Minnesota Vikings plow through the Dallas Cowboys' well-regarded defense in a 34-3 victory Sunday that earned the Vikings the right to meet the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game. Favre, 40, threw for four touchdowns and 234 yards, and had a 134.4 passer rating.

In the NFL standings, they are 0-2. In their locker rooms, they are "Uh-and-Oh!" The Dallas Cowboys were going to be the first team to play a Super Bowl on its home field. And the Minnesota Vikings? Their overflowing talent was the reason Brett Favre came back for a 20th year, one season after bringing them to the brink of a Super Bowl appearance. But heading into Week 3, both franchises are still looking for their first victory. Is it too early to panic?

Brett Favre's job just got a whole lot tougher. Favre and the Minnesota Vikings will play the first half of the season — or more — without Pro Bowl receiver Sidney Rice , who had hip surgery this week. Coach Brad Childress said Tuesday that Rice had the procedure in Vail, Colo., on Monday night. He couldn't give a specific timetable for Rice's return, but said typically it takes about eight weeks before a player can even get back to practice, let alone game action.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Brett Favre became the NFL's all-time leader in career touchdown passes with a couple of vintage third-down zingers to help Green Bay stay unbeaten. Favre was the difference in Sunday's 23-16 victory by the Packers, who hung on against the pass-deficient Minnesota Vikings. He threw his 421st career touchdown pass in the first quarter to Greg Jennings to break Dan Marino's career record. Then Favre added his 422nd in the fourth quarter on a pass to James Jones.
