Orange County airport officials said Monday that they have received an application from a small regional airline that wants to begin offering twice daily flights between Salt Lake City and John Wayne Airport. The Tucson-based carrier, Sierra Pacific Airline, flies jets under contract from a Salt Lake travel marketing firm, Morris Air Service Corp. David Neeleman, Morris president, said the carrier would use a 130-seat Boeing B737-300 if it is allowed to begin service from Orange County.
