"There are ghosts in this stadium," Razorback Coach Houston Nutt said. "It was one of the loudest games I've ever heard, with my headphones on." The Razorbacks (3-3, 1-3 in the Southeast Conference) improved to 11-0 in Little Rock under Nutt, who got his second victory in three tries against Lou Holtz, his former coach and boss.

Football Coach Joe Morrison of the University of South Carolina was in the hospital Friday for treatment of chest pains, but school officials said he was resting comfortably and should be back on the practice field next week. Morrison, 47, was admitted late Thursday to Providence Hospital in Columbia, S.C. "If everything keeps going OK, he ought to be back in the office by Monday," South Carolina sports information director Tom Price said.

Out on the edge of town here Sunday afternoon, out among the big box stores and strip malls, at a family restaurant called Percy and Willie's, Santorum came by to shake hands and speak to a crowd of diners who had likely spent the morning praising the Lord at one of the area's many evangelical churches. "America is a moral enterprise, not an economic enterprise," Santorum declared.

Fullerton (16-6) advanced Saturday by beating San Francisco, 1-0. South Carolina (15-3-4) beat Air Force, 6-0, Sunday. Princeton (13-4) plays Virginia (20-3) in the other semifinal. Cremins, who spent 12 seasons at Georgia Tech, replaces Steve Newton, who resigned Jan. 18 after the school's internal report outlined five secondary NCAA violations. South Carolina was 9-18 last season.

Sophomore tailback Amp Lee scored three touchdowns and rushed for 94 yards Saturday as No. 12 Florida State handed South Carolina its third consecutive loss, 41-10. Lee, Florida State's leading rusher this season with 554 yards, scored touchdowns on the Seminoles' first possessions of the first, second and third quarters. Florida State (6-2) dominated South Carolina (4-4), sacking quarterback Bobby Fuller seven times and intercepting two passes.
