Harrah's marquee, a South Lake Tahoe landmark for a generation, will disappear next week as it falls victim to a new city ordinance. The marquee, located just west of the Nevada-California line, will be torn down to comply with a law forbidding signs with changing messages. The law is primarily aimed at motels that display rotating prices. But it applies to Harrah's marquee as well.
