The company said it will sell 350,000 "units," composed of one common stock share and one-quarter share of a purchase warrant, at a price of $3.45 each. Holders of one purchase warrant will be able to buy an additional share of stock for $3.

* Elizabeth McLaughlin has been tapped to one day succeed Orv Madden as chief executive of Hot Topic Inc., a mall-based teen apparel retailer with more than 200 stores. In the meantime, McLaughlin, who had been senior vice president and general merchandise manager, will serve as president of the Industry-based company.
