A new Dallas-based corporation has bought the Medical Center of La Mirada, which had been closed more than two years, and plans to reopen the facility by Feb. 1 to provide limited care. The center will treat patients who require hospital stays of at least 25 days, and additional services such as outpatient surgery and emergency care may be offered in the future, said Ty L. Richardson, president of Specialty Hospitals of America Inc., the new owner.
