Hondo Oil & Gas Co. of Roswell, N.M., announced Tuesday that John J. Hoey, former president of Atlantic Refining & Marketing Corp. of Philadelphia, will take over as Hondo's new president and chief executive effective Nov. 30. Hoey has served on the Hondo board since June. Hondo--and a predecessor company, Pauley Petroleum Inc.--have been led by petroleum pioneer and philanthropist Robert O. Anderson since shortly after his retirement as chairman of Atlantic Richfield Co. in 1986.

In a remarkably simple 20-page will filed in probate court in Fairfield, Conn., composer-conductor-musician-author Leonard Bernstein directed that his multimillion-dollar estate be held in trust equally for his three children with income from the estate to be distributed quarterly to them or their descendants. The No. 1 video game console is taking a page out of the playbooks of the ones in second and third place. Nintendo Co. announced Wednesday that it would add Netflix's movie-streaming service to its Wii console this spring. Microsoft Corp. added the Netflix streaming function to its Xbox 360 console in November 2008. Sony Corp. did the same on its PlayStation 3 in November 2009. As with Xbox 360 and PS3, the Netflix streaming service will be free to the more than 11 million people who already subscribe to Netflix's movie rental service.

Aaron Corp sprinted off USC's practice field, pushed through the gate and hustled toward the locker room en route to an evening class. With each step, the lanky sophomore seemed to grow surer of himself -- and his future. "I'm really excited," the usually laid-back Corp said, grinning widely. "There's a lot of work ahead and I can't wait to get started." Corp had reason to smile.
