They were pals, exceptional athletes and good-looking. At Lakewood High School, a well-tended campus with a "Father Knows Best" freshness about it, they were the BMOC--Big Men on Campus. And, undeniably, they had a way with young women. "We got all the girls," boasted Dana Belman, 20, a former varsity football linebacker who initiated the clique three years ago, when it consisted of 14 teen-agers who played basketball after school and wore San Antonio Spurs caps.

Like many a reckless youth, Christopher Albert loved to party, chase women and even join in a good fistfight, now and then. That attitude carried Albert to a few flickering moments of national notoriety two years ago, when the stocky, freewheeling athlete hit the national talk shows to discuss his membership in the "Spur Posse," the audacious band of Lakewood High School students who awarded themselves points for every sexual conquest.

Prosecutors declined to file charges Wednesday against two teen-agers affiliated with a Lakewood High School "posse," in a case unrelated to the campus sex scandal. Daniel Frazier and Kasey Catlin had been arrested Monday for allegedly making terrorist threats and intimidating witnesses. Authorities said the arrests of the 18-year-olds were not related to the arrests of Spur Posse members last week.

The father of a 16-year-old girl who was allegedly forced to have sex with a member of a Lakewood High School gang said he told school officials about the incident more than three months ago, but was told that it was "not a school problem." His statement at a news conference Thursday contradicts the account of school Principal Mike Escalante, who said officials first learned about sexual allegations involving a group of boys called the Spur Posse at a meeting with parents in early March.
