Military officials are investigating an incident at Camp Pendleton that left a Marine lance corporal in the hospital with stab wounds, officials said Sunday. She was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where she was treated for "moderate" injuries, official said. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service says the suspect may be a Marine corporal. The attack occurred on the base Saturday morning. Both Marines are with the 1st Marine Logistics Group. No other information was released.

Two Marines who were stabbed while trying to break up a street fight in downtown Huntington Beach Sunday night suffered serious injuries that required surgery, police said. The incident occurred as the bars near Main and Walnut streets let out for the night about 1:45 a.m. Sunday. A fight between a woman wearing an Angels jersey and two people talking about the Dodgers broke out, but when three Marines tried to intervene, more people joined the conflict. Two of the three Marines, who were on leave from Camp Pendleton, suffered serious stab wounds from a broken bottle.

A 45-year-old man was discovered stabbed to death near a gas station phone booth early Saturday, according to police. Police said they were called at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday by a security guard who had just come out of a bar on San Fernando Road near Sunland Boulevard. Responding patrol officers found the man, whom police would identify only as a Latino, lying on a sidewalk, with several stab wounds to his chest. North Hollywood Division detectives said they have no suspects in the case.

Authorities on Monday identified a 34-year-old West Hollywood man who was allegedly stabbed to death by his roommate. A Ventura man who was stabbed three times by several men was listed in stable condition Thursday, officials at Ventura County Medical Center said. Paul Dupree, 39, was stabbed in the back about 3 a.m. Thursday in Ventura near Ventura Avenue and Main Street, police said. Dupree told police he was attacked by five men whose identities he did not know. Police said there were no witnesses.

A skid row denizen died Monday of multiple stab wounds suffered during an argument in the 600 block of San Julian Street, police said. Detectives said the unidentified man, in his 40s, suffered abdominal wounds after a brief confrontation with several men late Sunday night. No suspects were in custody, police said.

An unidentified man died Saturday afternoon after police officers found him in an alley bleeding from several stab wounds, police reported. Police Officer Harold Martin said that at 2:10 p.m. a call was received about a man bleeding in an alley behind a business district in the 8100 block of West La Palma Avenue. He said the man, who appeared to be about 45, was treated at the scene by paramedics and then transported to Anaheim Memorial Hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.

A Northridge man was fatally stabbed near a neighborhood bar early Monday, Los Angeles police said. David McClave, 28, staggered into the Tryst Bar in the 8700 block of Tampa Avenue about 1 a.m. and collapsed, Detective Bob Pulley said. Paramedics took McClave to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about 20 minutes later. Pulley said investigators did not get a chance to interview McClave before he died and had not yet determined a motive for the attack.

An unidentified man died Thursday after being found stabbed on a San Fernando street, police said. No arrests have been made. Police were called to the 1000 block of Arroyo Street at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday, where they found a man who had been stabbed in the left side lying unconscious next to the curb. He was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he died four hours later.

A 6-year-old Agoura boy killed Tuesday near his home at an isolated canyon religious commune died of multiple stab wounds, an autopsy showed Thursday. A spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner's office refused to comment further on the death of Miguel Antero, whose body was found in brush less than 200 yards from his Triunfo Canyon Road home late Tuesday, 7 1/2 hours after he was dropped off by a school bus.

Authorities have arrested a man suspected of stabbing his roommate to death at their West Hollywood apartment complex, officials said. Deputies went to the suspect's apartment in the 900 block of Palm Avenue about 5 p.m. Saturday to conduct a welfare check, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. When they arrived at the scene, the deputies were told that the individual who lived in the unit may have killed his roommate and may be trying to kill himself, authorities said.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene of two deaths Tuesday morning, one involving a stabbing in Norwalk, the other a shooting in Sun Valley, police said. In Norwalk, a man was found with stab wounds at about 6:50 a.m. at the intersection of Studebaker Road and Ferina Street. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. A spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner's office said the man has not yet been fully identified and appears to be in his 50s. There was no immediate word of any suspects or arrests.

A 16-year-old Santa Rosa high school student was arrested Wednesday after allegedly stabbing a teacher repeatedly with a pencil, sending him to the hospital, police said. The teacher, who was not identified, was treated for stab wounds to his head, neck and arm, according to the Santa Rose Police Department. The injuries were not considered life-threatening, police added.  The suspect, who was not identified because he is a juvenile, was taken into custody without incident after police tracked him to the home of a relative, according to police.

The stepfather of a Hawthorne woman who was stabbed to death last month was arrested on suspicion of murder over the weekend. Alvin Hunt Jr., 59, was arrested Saturday in Long Beach, KTLA reported. He is suspected of stabbing 22-year-old Naquia Danielle Catching on Sept. 26 at their home in the 4800 block of West 118th Place, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Catching's mother came home from work and found her suffering from stab wounds and unresponsive, said Lt. Eddie Hernandez of the Sheriff's Department.

Authorities on Wednesday identified the suspect killed in an officer-involved shooting in Laguna Niguel, an incident that began when three people, including a sheriff's deputy, were stabbed. The suspect, identified by authorities as Connor Bishop Zion, 21, of Laguna Niguel, was pronounced dead at the scene after stabbing an Orange County sheriff's deputy in both arms and then being shot by another deputy, officials said. The shooting occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Chandon, where deputies had responded to a disturbance call about someone being stabbed with a knife, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Cathy Torrez, the Cal State Fullerton honor student whose body was found in the trunk of her car, died of multiple stab wounds, police said Sunday. Placentia police spokeswoman Corrine Loomis said further tests are needed before a time of death can be determined, and she declined to say whether a motive or a suspect has been identified. "We don't want to say anything that will jeopardize our investigation," Loomis said.

A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in Hollywood early Sunday morning, police said. Los Angeles police received a call at 2:30 a.m. reporting a fight at Hollywood Boulevard and Whitley Avenue , said Officer Cleon Joseph. When officers arrived, they found a man with stab wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, Joseph said. No description of the suspect was given. The motive is unknown. The stepfather of a boy stabbed to death in Los Angeles' Westlake district will be arrested in connection with the killing as soon as he is released from the hospital, police said Tuesday. The 11-year-old was killed Monday after an apparent family dispute at his home in the 200 block of Carondelet Street. A 26-year-old suspect, believed to be the boy's stepfather, also suffered stab wounds and was being treated at County USC Medical Center. His condition was unknown.
