A Monrovia-based company that makes health-monitoring devices said it will develop specialized software for the U.S. Army. Stayhealthy Inc. already markets a data-collection device that utilizes a pair of electrodes connected to the Internet via a personal computer for monitoring individuals' caloric intake, muscle mass, body fat levels and weight. The Defense Department authorized a $100,000 grant to Stayhealthy to develop a similar Internet-based program for the Army, the company said.
