The Los Angeles Unified School District embezzlement case widened Wednesday as the owners of two camera stores were arrested and charged with conspiracy and felony grand theft involving $300,000 worth of photo and other electronic equipment. A Northridge camera store owner accused of involvement in a scheme under which the Los Angeles Unified School District was billed for $300,000 worth of photography equipment that allegedly went to two district employees pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of destroying evidence and was ordered to pay more than $6,000 in fines and restitution.
