Is nobody going to Hollywood anymore? Jennifer Lopez announced her intention to leave "American Idol" on Friday morning, hot on the heels of Steven Tyler's declaration of independence the day before. And there are rumors that Randy Jackson, the third and only remaining original judge, might be leaving the long-running Fox talent search. Lopez's voice cracked off and on - Surprised, anyone? No? - as she told Ryan Seacrest she'd be leaving the "Idol" team after two seasons.

Apart from Steven Tyler, dressed in drag and calling himself "Pepper," stopping by to spice things up -- he got in a bleeped-out word, a head-scratching farm-animal reference and a moon in record time - things were relatively tame at "American Idol's" Oklahoma City auditions. The judges seem to have settled into their groove, with an apparent absence of friction between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. Keith "Mr. Easygoing" Urban, though prone to catching the giggles, kept things moving along.

Steven Tyler and the guys from Aerosmith don't normally do morning shows, as they joked to Matt Lauer on "Today" on Friday morning. And with good reason, as Tyler soon demonstrated when he dropped an f-bomb while Al Roker was doing the weather. Aerosmith made a special early morning appearance on "Today" to promote the band's new album, "Music From Another Dimension" by playing a live concert outside Rockefeller Center. But while Tyler and the band warmed up the crowd on stage, they apparently weren't aware that their stage patter could be heard on the live feed as Roker delivered the weather forecast.

When it comes to style on "American Idol," this season, all the action has been at the judges' desk. Jennifer Lopez has been trying her best to steal the spotlight, trotting out one designer outfit after another (Lanvin, Moschino Cheap & Chic, George Chakra), with a new hairstyle and heavy-handed makeup job to match. But Steven Tyler is the real breakout style star on the unscripted show. His dandified look is vintage rock star, back when rock stars embraced the role 24-7 -- hip-hugger pants, leather jackets, beetle boots, long scarves and layered jewelry, by labels such as All Saints and Chrome Hearts.

BOSTON - Backstage in Steven Tyler's dressing room at the TD Garden last month, the flamboyant frontman readied for an Aerosmith show in the band's hometown surrounded by family, friends and tie-dyed tapestries he'd hung over the room's cinder-block walls. Guests and their plus-ones swarmed outside the room; inside a smaller crew circulated, including Bebe Buell, the fashion model with whom Tyler had his movie-star daughter Liv Tyler; Jason Bonham, the son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham; and two Yorkshire terriers named Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. "Butch is the little one," Tyler said, lifting the football-sized dog to his face.

Steven Tyler isn't returning to "American Idol," next season and in a new interview in Rolling Stone, the Aerosmith frontman reveals that he's happy to have seen the last of the judge's table. "I loved it and hated it," Tyler admitted to the magazine . "It was a great job, I sat next to J. Lo and I made a ton of money. It was a moment in life and it became larger than life. " Earlier this month, it became official that both Tyler and Jennifer Lopez would be departing "Idol" after having done it for two seasons.
