Jane Hall misquoted Howard Stern in her April 2 article about Stern's upcoming late-night show. I saw the news conference and Howard actually said, " 'Tiffany' is also the name of a stripper," not "a hooker." Those of us who are fans know that Howard's into a higher class of sleaze.   SAN DIEGO -- A lawyer for 25 strippers has filed a claim with City Hall asserting that police violated the strippers' rights by detaining them and forcing them to pose for pictures. Dan Gilleon, attorney for dancers at Cheetahs Gentlemen's Club, which bills itself as the city's top spot for nude entertainment, said the strippers' rights were violated by an estimated 10 officers who arrived at the club recently for what was said to be a routine inspection. The claim, filed Monday, is a forerunner to a lawsuit.

Even in this economy, Nadya Suleman, a.k.a. the “Octomom,” continues to find work, albeit with a killer commute: The La Habra mama has booked a stripper gig at a gentleman's club in Florida. Next week, Suleman will perform seven times over four days at T's Lounge in West Palm Beach, according to the club's website. And yes, the mother of octuplets, twins and a handful of other tykes “will appear topless at some point during her show,” her rep told CNN on Monday. What audiences can expect during the rest of the show was unclear - though perhaps that's for the best.

Justin Bieber's reputation apparently preceded him early Sunday morning as he tried to party in New York, according to a Monday report. And not in a good way. The 19-year-old was shunned at the door of the New York City club 1 Oak and turned away from at least four Super Bowl parties, according to the New York Daily News' Confidential column. The Biebs' infamy is apparently exceeding the lure of his fame these days. "Most clubs don't want the hassle of having him inside anymore," a night life source told the column, referring to the pop star as "radioactive" because of his recent wild-in-a-bad-way behavior.

Could you call it a scandal? It's not exactly clear  who is outraged. But Lynsie Lee, a Portland, Ore., stripper who once exchanged private Twitter messages with Senate candidate Cory Booker of New Jersey, is enjoying the attention while it lasts. “I just had this 'Inside Edition' female say, 'Are you on something? You seem so happy,' ” Lee, 26, told the Los Angeles Times in a phone interview Thursday, after fielding calls from a flock of curious journalists. "They've been waking me up since 3 a.m. " The story is basically this: On Wednesday a BuzzFeed reporter -- perhaps with sextually challenged  New York politico Anthony Weiner on the brain -- posted a story about Lee exchanging private messages with Booker, the bachelor mayor of Newark, N.J. "Not safe for work, unless you work at Newark City Hall," the BuzzFeed reporter gushed, then glued several nude photos of Lee into the very-not-safe-for-work story.

In a landmark child abuse case, a jury today convicted Theresa Jackson of provoking her daughter's suicide by forcing her to become a stripper. Jackson, 40, was convicted on charges of child abuse, procuring sexual performances by a child and of forging a birth certificate so her 17-year-old daughter, Tina Mancini, could dance in the nude. Jackson, who showed little emotion when the verdict was read, faces up to 25 years in prison when she is sentenced Dec. 3.

Harry Styles had a cheeky 19th birthday bash in London over the weekend -- the kind with photographic evidence that definitely isn't safe for work. The One Direction boy bander celebrated at the Alibi Club in the British capital, where his friend DJ Nick "Grimmy" Grimshaw set up an appearance with a stripper, bizarrely complete with nunchucks and all. (Apparently, she forgot her baton.) "Grimmy said I had to sit there because he was bringing a cake," the singer told the Sun during the band's tour rehearsal.

Nearly 3,000 miles already separate Casa Diablo from Newark City Hall. But this week, Cory Booker strove mightily to increase that distance. After word leaked out that the ambitious young Newark mayor had held a brief Twitter flirtation with a comely exotic dancer here, his Senate campaign in New Jersey issued a statement downplaying the incident. "The only mildly surprising thing about this story is the news that there's a vegan strip club in Portland," Booker's campaign said, indicating that the bachelor mayor knew neither Portland nor Casa Diablo, where one kind of flesh is happily embraced and another strictly prohibited.

The darkish comedy "Afternoon Delight" gives the talented Kathryn Hahn her first movie lead, and for a while it looks like an opportunity to dig in deep. Hahn's vanity-free performance as a bored Los Angeles housewife who befriends a stripper goes a considerable way to humanize a film of occasional insight and underdeveloped provocations. Ultimately, though, her character is as thinly conceived and hard to root for as everyone else in filmmaker Jill Soloway's erratic blend of not-quite satire and halfhearted soul searching.

LAS VEGAS -- Consider it a time capsule of what was and was not politically correct in Nevada this year -- a document that might be unearthed by future inhabitants as a clue to what this often-outlandish desert culture was thinking, or not, in the year 2013. This is the legislation that didn't make it -- the dead bills. The legislative corpses include efforts to legalize marijuana, make motorcyclists wear helmets, tax junk food, outlaw new ownership of dangerous pets and, yes, even choose a state dog. “In 20,000 years when people from the planet Zork arrive here and go into our archives, they're going to look at this list and say one of two things,” said Michael Green, a historian at the College of Southern Nevada.

A former stripper recently ousted as mayor of Georgetown appeared in court on charges she staged an attack on herself. She also announced she had posed nude for Playboy magazine's Web site. Koleen Brooks, 37, allegedly made a false report to police about being attacked in February near her home. Residents speculated Brooks invented the story about the attack to garner sympathy. In a Clear Creek County Court hearing, Brooks asked for a change of venue because of publicity.

The phone rang -- again -- and Heather Veitch answered from her three-bedroom tract home in Riverside. It was yet another radio station, this time from Detroit, and the DJ wanted to hear the tale of the stripper turned evangelist. "I don't try to change their life," she said of the women she seeks out at strip clubs. "I just want them to have a relationship with God." The DJ then throws a curveball: Isn't it a sin to strip?
