Summit Health Ltd., a Burbank health-services concern, said its Summit Ambulatory Network Inc. unit completed the purchase of a 70% interest in Central Coast Surgery Center. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Central Coast, located in San Luis Obispo, is a free-standing surgery center with two surgery suites.

He was previously senior auditor in charge of the college's business and financial aid audits at the firm of Ericson, Carpenter & Co. Morand has also been senior staff accountant at Spicer & Oppenheimer and controller at AJM Building Products. * Judy B. Winston has been promoted to vice president and SBA loan officer at Orange National Bank.

"I'm done talking about a turnaround," says Donald J. Amaral, president of Summit Health Ltd. "It's time for us to start growing this business." This business is the 12 hospitals, 17 nursing homes and four retirement centers run by Summit, a Burbank-based company that hired Amaral three years ago when it was in big trouble. Summit was choking on excessive debt and mired in losses.
