Paula Deen, welcome back. The Queen of Southern Cooking who made a guest appearance on "MasterChef" has had a rough go of it as late, battered and deep fried by the media after she revealed that she had diabetes, hid it from the public, and oh, by the way, is now touting a new diabetes drug. But here's the reality: Everyone outside the media? They don't care. Leave Paula Deen alone already. She reminds everyone of their momma -- either the momma they had, or the momma they have, or the momma they wish they had -- so just get off her back and let her do her thing.

Romantic dinner. CanoeHouse, Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. A beachside location, indoor-outdoor seating, live Hawaiian music and plenty of fresh fish make CanoeHouse the place for a romantic splurge or special occasion.

Loews Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nev., is teaching kids how to mix fun with the art of sushi in a series of classes dubbed SushiSKool on the first Saturday of each month. The next one is July 2. Chef Osamu Fujita, a third-generation sushi chef, guides grade-schoolers through teens through the basics of ordering, using chopsticks and sushi etiquette. Participants sample items such as as gari (pickled ginger) and wasabi (Japanese horseradish) while making sushi and sipping ocha (green tea)

" Teenage Angelenos of the female variety would compare him to a young Brad Pitt when not busy shrieking, and his character's coming out has considerably raised the actor's profile. Don't waste your time counting abdominal muscles, however; let this young man show you how to paint the town red. Any rituals at home before you hit the town? I hop on my right leg three times, spin around, open a book, get through 20 pages or so, play my guitar, then fall asleep and end up not going out at all. NOTE: This is a blog about two guys attempting to lose weight over a six-week period. They kicked off their weight-loss "strategies" on Jan. 10 . What began as my boss overhearing me say I wanted to lose 15 pounds by the end of the year saw me losing 13.5 pounds in six weeks. For that I am truly grateful. I am also thankful to all the people who say I look thinner, to all of those who have said they enjoyed these blog posts, and those who were so outraged at the beginning of all of this -- all of you have motivated me. I learned a lot. I learned I ate like a garbage disposal.

David Martin was in the mood for raw fish, and he liked the deal offered by a Studio City sushi restaurant: all you can eat for $28. He took a seat at the counter and started ordering. But it turned out that Martin didn't really want sushi, which includes rice; he wanted all-you-can-eat sashimi, which is just fish. He began picking the seafood off the top and leaving the rice. Restaurant owner Jay Oh told Martin that if he wanted the all-you-can-eat price, he'd have to eat the rice too and not just fill up on fish.
