Taylor Swift has seemingly revealed that her break-up song "I Knew You Were Trouble" was penned with One Direction crooner Harry Styles in mind. Is anyone surprised? In an interview with the UK's Sunday Times Magazine, Swift was asked if it was difficult to perform the song during the Brit Awards. "Well, it's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is directed at is standing by the side of the stage watching," she said . SACRAMENTO - The state Assembly moved swiftly to OK the addition of $2 million to the secretary of state's budget to speed up the processing of business paperwork. The California secretary of state's office relies on a system of paper and not computerized filings for corporate, partnership and other business records that an entrepreneur must submit before hiring workers, opening doors or selling products. The $2-million appropriation bill (AB 113) was approved Monday by a 71-1 vote in the Assembly, and now must be approved by the state Senate.

In the first scene of Taylor Swift's latest video, “22” the hitmaking country-pop artist wears a shirt that reads, “Not a whole lot going on at the moment.” The cheeky statement could mean a number of things -- and because it's Swift, rest assured it does -- but let's pretend for a moment she's having a lighthearted moment of self-awareness and is poking fun at the media's recent attention to the love life she often decodes for us in...

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler didn't waste time responding to Taylor Swift's Vanity Fair comments slamming their Golden Globes hosting gig in mid-January. The consensus: Learn how to take a joke, Taylor. Swift, 23, whose litany of boyfriends and breakup songs have made her a tabloid favorite, made headlines Tuesday for agreeing with a Madeleine Albright quote she'd heard from Katie Couric. " 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women,' " Swift repeated to Vanity Fair regarding the "30 Rock" and "Parks and Recreation" stars. Taylor Swift is firing back in her Vanity Fair cover story about all the rumors swirling around her: the boys, the songs, the houses. She even takes a moment to bash critically acclaimed Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. In the magazine's April issue, Swift opens up about all the tabloid fodder the 23-year-old singer has amassed and reiterates a couple things she said in the March issue of Elle. Here are a few things we learned from the preview story: Despite popular opinion, Swift isn't boy crazy, and if you think she is, you're sexist: "For a female to write about her feelings," Swift said, "and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated -- a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way -- that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.

Taylor Swift obviously has no compunction about discussing her personal life -- as long as it's in a song. But the pop titan has generally demurred from longer sit-down interviews about her romantic travails and matters of the heart. In a forthcoming issue of Vanity Fair , she pulls back the curtain a bit for writer Nancy Jo Sales -- and aims her ire at some unlikely sources. First in line? Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who tossed some good-natured ribbing toward Swift and her colorful dating life (which lately included Conor Kennedy and One Direction's Harry Styles)

Taylor Swift was sued for canceling an appearance at a Canadian music festival last year after she reportedly had already received the payment for the appearance. She should have known it would be trouble, trouble, trouble? (OK, we got that out of our system.) The singer was set to headline Capital Hoedown's 2012 music festival in Ottawa last August but festival organizer Denis Benoit canceled the event in July 2012 and ticket-holders began asking their credit card companies for refunds, according to the Ottawa Citizen . The 23-year-old singer was allegedly paid the $2.5 million that came with booking the appearance and allegedly "refused to perform and/or reschedule a new appearance," which amounted to a breach of contract, according to the complaint filed in New York federal court on Tuesday and obtained by E!

Ed Sheeran had plenty to be proud of Sunday night at the Grammy Awards, where the English singer-songwriter's "The A Team" was nominated for song of the year. Not only that, but Sheeran performed the tune - a sympathetic ballad about a troubled woman who turns to drugs and prostitution - on the telecast as an intergenerational duet with Elton John. Reflecting on the experience the day after the ceremony, however, Sheeran seemed less than satisfied. The problem wasn't that he'd lost the award to "We Are Young" by Fun., but that he'd attended Justin Timberlake's late-night post-Grammy concert at the Hollywood Palladium.
