Wilmer Valderrama, perhaps best known for his role as exchange student Fez on “That '70s Show,” has listed his Tarzana compound for sale at $3.495 million. A 25-year-old woman was hospitalized early Thursday after crashing her car into a dry-cleaning business in Tarzana, police said. Witnesses reported the car was going about 80 mph westbound on Ventura Boulevard about 1 a.m. when it slammed into a business, sending debris down the street and sidewalk. Police saw the vehicle speeding in Reseda and gave chase. The woman was taken into custody after she lost control and crashed. Police said they smelled alcohol on the woman's breath and she was taken to a local hospital, where she was listed in fair condition.

Los Angeles police shot a man who allegedly confronted officers with a shotgun outside a home in Tarzana, a police spokesman said late Friday. The victim was taken to a hospital but his condition was not immediately available, said Sgt. Barry Montgomery. No officers were injured, Montgomery said. The incident began shortly after 5 p.m. when officers responded to a call about a man with a gun, Montgomery said. A shotgun was recovered from the scene. No further details were available.

Los Angeles County coroner's officials released the identity Thursday of a woman killed in a multi-car crash in Tarzana. The fatal crash occurred Monday about 11:05 p.m. at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Vanalden Avenue. Coroner's officials identified the victim as Cynthia Grace, 64, of Los Angeles.   Grace was preparing to enter the onramp of the south 101 Freeway when the driver of a 1999 Ford Taurus heading east on Ventura Boulevard rear-ended her 2003 Saturn Ion, said Det. Bill Bustos of the LAPD's West Valley station.

A family home of pop singer Colbie Caillat is on the market in Tarzana at $1.399 million.   Owned by her father, Grammy-winning record producer Ken Caillat, the French-style house was once featured on MTV's “Cribs.”   The 3,701-square-foot house, built in 1995, features high ceilings, a media room, a den, a crafts room, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. There is a lagoon-style swimming pool on the more than a half-acre of grounds. Colbie Caillat, 27, is a singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist.

Actor-comedian Chris Tucker has sold his house in Tarzana for $2.1 million. Set on about three-quarters of an acre in a gated community, the contemporary Mediterranean features an open floor plan, three fireplaces, high ceilings, a study, a wet bar, a butler's pantry, five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and 6,399 square feet of living space. A pool, spa, lawn and a motor court complete the outdoors. Tucker, 41, starred opposite Jackie Chan in the three “Rush Hour” films. More recently, he was in the film “Silver Linings Playbook.” He bought the house in 1996 for $1,113,500.

Speed was a factor in a seven-vehicle crash in Tarzana late Monday night that left one woman dead, police said Tuesday. The crash occurred about 11 p.m. on Ventura Boulevard east of Corbin Avenue near the border dividing Tarzana and Reseda. A Ford Taurus moving eastbound slammed into several vehicles waiting at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and the southbound onramp to the Ventura Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A woman in her 60s, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a 6-year-old girl in Tarzana while wearing a mask earlier this week. On early Monday morning, police said, a masked man walked into an apartment off Miranda Street and Reseda Boulevard through an unlocked patio door. The man scooped up the girl from her bed and she began to scream, KTLA reported. Her screams alerted the girl's mother, who ran outside and found her daughter on the patio. The would-be kidnapper ran off. “She was screaming,” the mother, who asked not to be identified, told KTLA.

The home received multiple offers, went into escrow within 10 days of coming on the market, and sold for its asking price of $5.499 million. The Mediterranean-style villa sits on three-quarters of an acre in gated Mulholland Park. Entered through a two-story foyer with a sweeping staircase, the 8,000-square-foot home features custom closets, mosaic tile details, a den, a home theater, seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Investigators in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties are searching Thursday for a woman who, using sleight of hand, was able to steal $150,000 worth of loose diamonds from one store and a 5.7-carat diamond ring from another, authorities said. The woman, who is believed to be between 50 and 55 years old, was described as about 5-foot-8 and weighing about 150 pounds, with short black hair and glasses, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Officials said that on Dec. 6, the woman walked into Ozel's Jewelry in Victorville and showed an interest in purchasing high-quality diamonds.

The renovated country French-style house features Venetian chandeliers, a gym, five bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 8,604 square feet of living space. The chateau and a swimming pool sit on more than half an acre. Outdoor living spaces include a dining room with chandeliers, a living room and a cabana. Brown and Belafonte added the gym, a detached recording studio and a detached movie theater in what the listing said was $1-million renovation.

She bought the property less than a year ago from Scary Spice, a.k.a. singer Melanie J. Brown , for $3 million, public records show. The main house, a guesthouse, a detached movie theater and a swimming pool sit on more than half an acre. Outdoor living spaces include a dining room with chandeliers, a living room, a kitchen and a cabana. There are four bedrooms, six bathrooms and 9,200 square feet of living space.
