Staying Power If USC and UCLA are fair indications, fullbacks are homebodies who don't mind sharing. Valley products Ted Iacenda of Hart High and Marvin Powell of Birmingham split playing time at fullback for the Trojans, and Durell Price of Sylmar and Craig Walendy of Westlake do the same for the Bruins.

Sophomore fullback Ted Iacenda will sit out the rest of the season because he needs arthroscopic procedures on both shoulders and might require reconstructive surgery on both. "It's real disappointing," said Iacenda, who started in four games ahead of senior Rodney Sermons before being injured. "I just want to do what's best to get healthy for next spring." Iacenda is scheduled for arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder next week to determine whether he needs reconstructive surgery.
