The Westminster Police Officers' Assn. will play a charity basketball game Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. against a team of professional sports all-stars to raise money for the Leukemia Society. The game will be held at Westminster High School, 14325 Golden West St. The all-star team will include Darryl Strawberry and Eric Davis of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Joe Kelly of the New York Jets, J.C.

Three Cincinnati Bengals filed a countersuit against a woman they say falsely accused them of participating in a gang rape at a suburban Seattle hotel two years ago. Filing suit in federal court for defamation and breach of contract were safety Barney Bussey, wide receiver Tim McGee and running back Eric Ball. The men seek unspecified damages from the woman identified in court papers as Victoria C.

Additional X-rays Monday confirmed that Boomer Esiason's passing arm is badly bruised but not broken, leaving him questionable for the Cincinnati Bengals' game next Monday night in Pittsburgh. Esiason was hit by a helmet in the left forearm just below the elbow in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Houston Oilers. He immediately came out of the game and the Bengals suspected a fracture. "I saw him (Monday) morning in the trainer's room," receiver Tim McGee said.

Attorneys for a Spokane, Wash., woman on Tuesday released the names of 20 current and former Cincinnati Bengals accused in a civil lawsuit of raping her or standing by while she was assaulted nearly two years ago. The complaint says the plaintiff, identified only as Victoria C and described as a 98-pound mother of four, "was brutally and sadistically raped . . . over two hours, by 13 to 15 Bengal players who were two to three times her size, on the 'team floor' " in a hotel on Oct. 3, 1990.

UCLA placekicker John Lee and USC guard Jeff Bregel Monday were named to the 1985 Associated Press All-America team. Joining Lee and Bregel on the team were Michigan State sophomore running back Lorenzo White and Oklahoma sophomore linebacker Brian Bosworth, along with Heisman Trophy-winning tailback Bo Jackson of Auburn and Lombardi Award recipient Tony Casillas, Oklahoma's nose guard.

A day after trying to trade him to the Green Bay Packers, the Oakland Raiders released running back Greg Robinson on Tuesday. Robinson, who led the Raiders in rushing in 1993 before sustaining knee ligament damage, reported to the Packers, then failed their physical and came back to El Segundo. The Raiders also placed center Don Mosebar on injured reserve. He is wearing a patch over his left eye after it was poked by Dallas' Chad Hennings during a practice in Austin, Tex.

Defense was just a word in the dictionary as Boomer Esiason of the Cincinnati Bengals and Randall Cunningham of the Philadelphia Eagles engaged in a passing shootout Sunday. Esiason fired the final volley, connecting with wide receiver Tim McGee on a 3-yard touchdown pass with 5:02 remaining to give the Bengals a 28-24 victory. Esiason completed 20 of 32 passes for 363 yards and 4 touchdowns as he rallied the Bengals (2-0) four times. McGee and Brooks each caught two touchdown passes.
