Now that one shoe has dropped with Peyton Manning choosing the Broncos, some of the focus shifts to the other -- what happens to Tim Tebow? It's likely that Denver will trade Tebow as soon as possible, and in fact that might have been one of Manning's stipulations for picking the Broncos. After all, considering Tebow's popularity, Manning wouldn't want the distraction of a segment of the fan base pushing for a quarterback change after a bad game. So where is Tebow most marketable?

Private quarterbacks coach Steve Clarkson has been making headlines this week by building up Tim Tebow, trashing Mark Sanchez, the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos, and making a case that Tebow could be the savior of the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise. All this from a guy who worked with Tebow for just three sessions. Earlier this week, Clarkson -- a Wilson High School graduate who has worked with numerous quarterbacks, including former USC Trojans Matt Leinart and Matt Barkley -- had plenty to say during a conference call with reporters.

The comparisons between Kansas State's Collin Klein, a Heisman Trophy candidate, and former Florida star Tim Tebow, who won the Heisman in 2007, are not lost on people. Both are big, physical, run-first quarterbacks who aren't the prettiest of passers. The are also humble, straight-laced Christian fellows who are known as fierce competitors. Their statistics may end up being similar, too. In 13 games during his Heisman-winning season, Tebow passed for 3,286 yards and 32 touchdowns with six interceptions, completing 66.9% of his throws.

This has not been the best week for New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow. First, on Wednesday, Jets Coach Rex Ryan says Greg McElroy will replace Mark Sanchez as the Jets' starter, leaving Tebow on the bench. Then, on Thursday, US Weekly reports that Tebow has broken up with actress Camilla Belle after two months of dating. Belle is famous for starring in "From Prada to Nada" and "Dirty Dancing 3. " And when I say famous, I mean "been in movies no one has ever heard of or watched.

A short time ago, Tim Tebow got down on one knee and prayed. That inconspicuous move led to a craze, whose name has now been trademarked. Yes, it's true, Tebow has trademarked the prayer pose, dubbed "Tebowing" by observers. He apparently doesn't want to make money off of it, but rather wants to make sure that its integrity is protected. "I know it was something that was cool for me in the past, but it's not something I do as 'Tebowing,' " Tebow said. "It's something I do that's prayer for me and then it got hyped up as Tebowing.

The circus has arrived. Tim Tebow will meet the media at New York Jets headquarters in a 9 a.m. PT news conference Monday, and the set-up is downright presidential. And this is for a backup quarterback, mind you. According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, the "availability" will take place in the team's field house, a franchise first, which is the length of a field and 100 feet high. Tebow will stand at a podium on a raised platform, before rows of 80 seats for reporters.

Wondering why Tim Tebow didn't play in the New York Jets' 49-19 loss to the New England Patriots on Thanksgiving? He has two broken ribs. "They need a little time to get better," Tebow after the game, adding that the broken ribs are making it more difficult for him to breathe. Tebow has had a limited role in the Jets' offense this season after being acquired from the Denver Broncos in March. He was expected to add a dynamic element to the offense, particularly in the wildcat package, but he is averaging only about seven plays on offense.

Tim Tebow just wants to be a pro quarterback. Is that too much for a Heisman Trophy winner/two-time national champion/NFL playoff victor/all-around good guy to ask for? Not in the opinion of Orlando Predators owner Brett Bouchy, who told the Orlando Sentinel he's ready to sign Tebow the second the as-of-now-but-likely-not-much-longer backup quarterback for the New York Jets is available. That's the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League. OK, perhaps we should have clarified that Tebow would like to be an NFL quarterback.

Rory McIlroy's reputation took a big hit last week when he walked off the course and withdrew from the tournament during the second round of the PGA Tour's Honda Classic. McIlroy was seven-over for the round when he hit his second shot into the water on the 18th and abruptly walked away without finishing the hole. On his way to the parking lot, he told reporters that his head was not in the right place. He later issued a statement that his wisdom tooth was causing pain. Many golf fans quickly labeled him as a quitter who folded when things weren't going his way. One key member of the PGA Tour agrees with that assessment: Rory McIlroy.

It's a good thing George Steinbrenner isn't around to see this, because you know he would have given him some grief when he had learned that Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman broke his right leg and dislocated the ankle while skydiving in Florida on Monday. Cashman jumped with the U.S. Army Golden Knights in a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project. He landed badly and suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle. “I'm in great spirits, and it was an awesome experience,” Cashman said in a statement.

Tim Tebow actually may have a future with the New York Jets after all. In a conference call with season-ticket holders Monday, new General Manager John Idzik was asked about the high-profile backup quarterback, who is still listed as No. 2 on the depth chart despite being leapfrogged by No. 3 Greg McElroy when starter Mark Sanchez was benched late in the season. Idzik responded with a lot of words, two of which were "Tim" and none of which were "trade" or "cut. " That's got to mean something, right?

INDIANAPOLIS -- Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o is scheduled to speak with reporters at the NFL combine on Saturday, and he figures to draw a massive crowd, likely the largest in the five years Lucas Oil Stadium has hosted the event. It figures be a strange and awkward encounter, considering the hubbub surrounding Te'o's fake dead girlfriend. But it will be far from the only weird, uncomfortable, can't-pull-your-eyes-away scene at the combine over the past five years. Here are five more: Tebow signs an autograph -- The crowd for Tim Tebow was huge in 2010, with hundreds of reporters crowded around the stage to hear from the Florida quarterback.

It wasn't long ago that Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton was a top prospect trying to play his way into the majors. On Wednesday, Stanton was hit in the helmet by Miami's top pitching prospect, Jose Fernandez, during live batting practice (video above). When Stanton spotted a downtrodden Fernandez on Thursday in camp, he had good news for the hard-throwing 20-year-old. X-rays were negative, he had no symptoms of a concussion, and the outfielder who starred at Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks, Calif., said his vision was normal after originally suffering from blurriness.

A minor league baseball promotion asking the question "What would Tim Tebow do?" never got an answer. Instead it got a cease and desist letter from the University of Florida, forcing the event's cancellation. The Fort Myers Miracle of the Florida State League planned to hold a "What would Tim Tebow do?" night on Wednesday, featuring promise rings for fans, a jump pass for the first pitch and a local man named Tim Tebo attempting to walk on water. It sounded like harmless fun, but then the University of Florida protested, demanding that the Miracle remove all references to Tebow from the promotion.
