Tom Bergeron The approach: Always game and appropriately wry. Best moment: The physical comedy -- skipping around the stage and futzing around with Heidi Klum. Worst moment: None. Backstage, he continued the rant. "I thought we were being punked as an audience," Piven said, as he swigged a flute of champagne. "I was confused. It was awkward. Like that moment in the movie 'The Producers,' there was 'Springtime for Hitler.

Cerritos Gahr defeated Downey, 3-1, Friday to give Tom Bergeron his 600th victory in 31 years as the Gladiators' baseball coach. Johnny Windle pitched a two-hitter, striking out six and walking one, for host Gahr (14-7, 10-1) in a San Gabriel Valley League game. "It wasn't the best conditions today, wet and windy, but it showed what Gahr baseball has been about," said Bergeron, whose teams are 600-247 and have won 14 league titles.
