A pickup truck being pursued by the California Highway Patrol crashed into a power pole Wednesday night, killing three of the vehicle's four occupants, authorities said. All four people inside the truck were thrown from the vehicle, and two died instantly. The third died at a nearby hospital. The fourth person, a male, was in the emergency room at Loma Linda University Medical Center, authorities said, but information on his condition was not available. The pursuit started about 7:30 p.m.
