Brady Quinn, benched by Cleveland Browns Coach Eric Mangini 2 1/2 games into the season, will start Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens, the team the former Notre Dame star was facing Sept. 27 when he was yanked at halftime. "I'm excited to play," he said. "I'm excited to be part of Monday night." Mangini's decision to switch back from Derek Anderson to Quinn wasn't met with overwhelming support in Cleveland's locker room. Several Browns players interviewed Wednesday said they were unaware of Quinn's return to the top of the depth chart.

Back on center stage, Tom Brady acted like, well, the NFL's biggest star. It seemed to take forever, though. A year after being sidelined with torn knee ligaments, Brady resembled a rusty game manager more than the invincible record-setting quarterback who guided the Patriots to a perfect 2007 regular season. Yet, he threw two touchdown passes in the final 2:06 as New England beat the Buffalo Bills, 25-24, on Monday night. When the spotlight hit, Brady lived up to the advance billing.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Trent Edwards was good early and even better late, doing just enough to lead the Buffalo Bills to their best start in five years. Edwards completed his first 10 passes and threw a perfect touchdown pass to James Hardy late in the fourth quarter, as the Bills beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, 20-16. Edwards finished 20 for 25 for 239 yards passing, Marshawn Lynch ran for 59 yards and a score, and Buffalo's defense held Jacksonville in check most of the day. Buffalo (2-0)

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Now that he has become the Buffalo Bills' starting quarterback, Trent Edwards is enjoying some of the perks that come with the job. Like accepting an invitation from Wayne Gretzky to play in a charitable golf tournament in June and getting to rub shoulders with the Great One and John Elway. As enjoyable as that was, the compelling memory that Edwards came away with was of a struggling Nationwide Tour player who was in his group during the Pro-Am. "He was staying in a room above a bar and had worked the person down to $60 a night," Edwards recalled.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Rookie Trent Edwards was 11 for 21 for 153 yards and engineered five scoring drives to help the Buffalo Bills beat the Baltimore Ravens, 19-14. The Bills (2-4) limited the Ravens (4-3) to two scores despite six drives into Buffalo territory. That included Baltimore's final drive, when Kyle Boller couldn't convert a fourth and one from the Buffalo 49, his pass falling just out of the reach of Musa Smith with 1 minute 49 seconds remaining.
