According to a report in the Sacramento Bee , the Sacramento Kings are "willing to listen" to offers for guard Tyreke Evans. The Lakers are listed among the teams who might have interest. "The Memphis Grizzlies, who are aggressively attempting to shed payroll and are shopping small forward Rudy Gay, have made inquiries. The Lakers and Denver Nuggets have long been intrigued.  So have the Boston Celtics," read the report. It's unclear who the Lakers would need to give up to Sacramento should Evans truly be put on the trading block.

The good, the bad, the Dwight. Dwight Howard was mostly solid in the first half of his Lakers debut, sprinkling in just enough mistakes to remind everybody he had gone 197 days since playing a game. Howard had 11 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots in 16 minutes as the Lakers led Sacramento, 57-46, after two quarters Sunday in an exhibition game at Staples Center. He made an impact before the game was two minutes old, dunking an alley-oop pass from Pau Gasol. He also blocked shots by James Johnson, Tyreke Evans and Travis Outlaw in the first half.

The "Bernie Bickerstaff Era" will continue Sunday night as the Lakers host the Sacramento Kings. At stake will be Bickerstaff's record as the all-time best coach in franchise history, by percentage. Admittedly the sample size of one game has given Bickerstaff that title. Bickerstaff is currently holding the head coaching post for Mike Brown's replacement, be it Phil Jackson or another suitor. The Kings were a handful for the Lakers during the preseason but both franchises find themselves at the bottom of the Western Conference, tied at 2-4 (also with the Portland Trail Blazers)

SACRAMENTO -- Anyone seeking deep insight into the Lakers was bound to be disappointed. The team rested starters Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum and played a hodgepodge of reserves during a 113-96 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night at Power Balance Pavilion in their regular-season finale. On the bright side, the playoffs start for the Lakers on Sunday afternoon at Staples Center against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers won three of four meetings between the teams during the regular season.
