Financial Freedom Senior Funding Corp. said it has been approved as a reverse mortgage lender under the Federal Housing Administration guidelines. The company's parent firm, ULLICO Inc., a $2.7-billion diversified financial and insurance services corporation, has been investing in reverse mortgages since 1993. Reverse mortgages allow homeowners to tap into the equity in their homes without moving and without repaying the loan until they sell or die.
