INDIO -- Self-described “model-sociallite” Silka (no last name given) drifted across the densely populated Coachella VIP section during the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' evening set attired in a crocheted shawl, a $400 Malia Mills bikini and a pair of Marc Jacobs sneaker wedges. She was sipping discreetly at a vodka cranberry in a plastic tumbler and turning heads with every step. The New York-based native of Hungary explained she had spent the better part of two days earlier this week sifting through her wardrobe to find precisely the right ensembles for three days' worth of festival revelry beneath Indio's baking sun. “Of course I love the music but of course I want to look good,” Silka said as a male companion smiled in nodding agreement.

TORONTO -- The manic crowd for Kristen Stewart on Thursday night was nothing compared to the turnout Friday for “Spring Breakers.” Was this young, smartly dressed crowd there for the latest film by notorious provocateur Harmony Korine, whose last film was the divisive “Trash Humpers”? Well, yes, but really they were there for the combined youth demo drawing power of James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson, with the added rumor that Gomez's boyfriend Justin Bieber may be there.

Worried about making a great impression on the first day of school? Even Miss Teen USA, Logan West, admits to feeling nervous on first days. "I was like petrified," the 18-year-old says. "I think it's just because it's a new year, it's new people, it's everything. " Often it's tempting to want to start a new school year - or any new chapter - with a totally new look as well. Just last weekend Miley Cyrus chopped her long locks into an edgy pixie crop and tweeted it for all the world to see. "Miley's cut is a bold move, and I have to say it's flattering on her," says Yesenia Almonte, beauty director for Seventeen magazine.

"High School Musical 3: Senior Year" is the third installment of Walt Disney Co.'s franchise in the last three years, a surprise cash cow that ran on cable TV and now springs to the big screen. "Saw V," its potential rival for No. 1 this weekend at the box office, is the fifth movie in Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate's lucrative horror series in the last five years. If other industries recycled their material as regularly as Hollywood, global warming would be a distant memory.

Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough, Emma Roberts and Clint Eastwood were just a few of the celebrities who took a break from the Coachella Music and Arts Festival to visit the Armani Exchange Neon Carnival on Saturday night. For the last four years, the brand has hosted a giant carnival in the middle of the desert at the Tradition Aviation Airport Hangar just 15 minutes from the Empire Polo Club. It's arguably one of the biggest events surrounding the festival and this year was no different.

Vanessa Hudgens, the star of the Disney "High School Musical" films, is tackling more adult roles in the upcoming "Machete Kills" and "The Frozen Ground. " But the 23-year-old has retained her youthful, slightly punk edge when it comes to her personal style -- she's more likely to don a pair of combat boots on the red carpet than a pair of sparkly stilettos. When she participated in "The 24 Hour Plays,"  Montblanc's creative fundraiser for the Urban Arts Project, in New York City on Monday,  the actress opted for a sleeveless white top, simple black pants and lace-up boots.

When a 15-year-old girl flashes a hint of her green bra in a playfully naughty photo on the Internet, hardly anyone -- aside from perhaps her parents -- blinks. But when the teen is Miley Cyrus, the face of the billion-dollar "Hannah Montana" Disney Channel franchise, everyone stares. The provocative images risk tainting the squeaky-clean image that's made her a hero for young girls. Disney Channel has emerged as a powerful creative engine for the Walt Disney Co.

Jennifer Aniston wasn't there to accept her MTV Movie Award for best kiss, but her "We're the Millers" costar Will Poulter did a fine job invoking her presence with a presumably fake text message from the actress who played his fake mom.  Aniston, Poulter and Emma Roberts won the best kiss award Sunday night for their awkward smooching scene in "Millers," which revolves around a fake family assembled by Jason Sudeikis' character to help him bring...

"High School Musical" has been a hit, Emmy-winning movie on cable television's Disney Channel, and its soundtrack album was the biggest-selling CD of 2006, at 3.8 million and still counting. So what's next? Think "High School Musical: The Concert."
