It's a truth as cruel as Mother Nature herself: As the nights grow shorter, the wait for beach parking grows longer. To combat increasing traffic, Venice Beach officials announced this week that DASH, a free shuttle bus, has begun service for the season. Running from Memorial Day to Labor Day, DASH buses will transport people from a parking lot at 4551 Glencoe Avenue in Marina del Rey to Venice Beach every 10 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
