Kitchen, Bathroom Display: Villeroy & Boch USA Inc. is opening its first public tile and plumbing fixtures showroom. The 5,000-square-foot showroom on State College Boulevard in Anaheim, attached to a 20,000-square-foot distribution center, will include 30 kitchen and bathroom areas all decked out in ceramic tiles. Among them will be designs by Paloma Picasso. Other Villeroy & Boch showrooms in the United States are open to designers and architects only.

Searching for a good contemporary cookware? I used to recommend All-Clad cookware with confidence, having proven its cooking efficiency and cleaning ease. However when the line started disappearing from market shelves, I was disheartened. And so were some cookware shop owners. The good news from All-Clad Metalcrafters Inc., of Canonsburg, Penn., is that its precision-crafted cookware line is back in full production using all new machinery, thanks to the new takeover.

After years of being snubbed and ignored by home decorators, the banana is chic again--along with apples, pears, lemons, grapes and other fruit. Many decorators were sour on fruit because they associated it with those cheap plastic bananas and grapes that adorned kitchens in the '50s, or avocado-print wallpaper and upholstery of the '70s. Now fruit has returned as the darling of home decors.
