DENVER - The Baltimore Ravens are rebooted. Thirty-one other NFL teams are recommitted. And, as always, the questions are relentless: Rookie quarterbacks were all the rage last season, with a record five of them starting openers. Who are this season's stars-in-waiting? Rookie running backs. We could see big years from Cincinnati's Giovani Bernard, Denver's Montee Ball, and Green Bay's Eddie Lacy. Pittsburgh's Le'Veon Bell was showing a lot of promise before he was sidelined by a foot injury.

How many words does it take to sum up not just a distinctive sound in country music, but to describe a whole period, one that includes an attitude and a level of singing, songwriting and instrumental expertise that represents one of the pinnacles of the whole genre over the last century? Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill and his longtime friend, steel guitarist Paul Franklin, need just one: "Bakersfield. " "If you want to define country music to me in its greatest era," Gill, 56, said last week, "it would be Bakersfield - it would be Buck and Merle, those songs and those instruments.

Vince Flynn, 47, a best-selling author who wrote the Mitch Rapp counterterrorism thriller series, died Wednesday at a hospital in St. Paul, Minn., after a more than two-year battle with prostate cancer, according to friends and his publisher. Flynn was supporting himself by bartending when he self-published his first novel, "Term Limits," in 1997 after getting more than 60 rejection letters. After it became a Twin Cities best-seller, Pocket Books, a Simon & Schuster imprint, signed him to a two-book deal - and "Term Limits" became a New York Times best-seller in paperback.

Tamar Braxton and husband Vince Herbert are parents of a baby boy born Thursday, the singer and reality-TV star has announced. "#tamartian friends HE'S finally here! #bfv #tamarandvince #theone," she told her her "tamartian" fans Thursday on Twitter, referring to "Braxton Family Values" and including a picture of a "baby boy" stuffed bear. Coincidentally, Braxton gave birth the same day as the show's finale. They'd kept the baby's sex quiet until now and didn't mention his name.

When Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson crashed weddings with such crazy success in 2005, they wanted to get laid. Older and not particularly wiser in "The Internship," the guys now want to get jobs. That's funny. Unfortunately, the comedy is linked to some new-age nonsense about old-school guys finally catching up with the Internet age. It's a one-liner forged into a two-hour joke. At stake is a much-coveted summer internship at Google that could lead to a full-time gig. This sets up a fish-out-water tale with the 40-something goofballs essentially thrown into a school ruled by young nerd geniuses.

SAN FRANCISCO - As soon as the credits rolled on "The Internship," Rachel Kang, a 20-year-old UC Berkeley sophomore from Torrance, headed straight back to her apartment to Google jobs at Google Inc. "I have always loved Google. I think everyone does. The movie just cemented my appreciation even more," Kang said after seeing a sneak preview of the film last month. "I do think a lot of people will be even more drawn to the company than they are now. " That's just what Google wants to hear.

ESPN is commemorating the life of Vince Lombardi with an hourlong special, “Lombardi's Legacy,” on June 6, at 6 p.m. PDT. That's five days before what would have been the legendary coach's 100th birthday. Host Chris Berman will be joined by Pro Football Hall of Famer Mike Ditka and Jerry Kramer. Canton-enshrined quarterback Bart Starr is also scheduled to be interviewed. All of that brings to mind a terrific, behind-the-scenes story of Lombardi from the late, great Steve Sabol, who told it to The Times a few years ago for a series on the history of NFL Films.

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson may be the big names in the new comedy "The Internship," but the real star of the film is Google. The company campus in Mountain View, Calif., is the setting for the movie in which Vaughn and Wilson play down-on-their-luck watch salesmen searching for a second chance as Silicon Valley interns. Google lent its brand to the 20th Century Fox movie and let the production film two days on-site without charging location or licensing fees. Vince Vaughn has bought a house for $3.925 million in an area of Los Angeles one might not normally associate with actors -- La Canada Flintridge. And while the small, affluent community may not have the celebrity cachet of Hollywood Hills, he can count actress Angela Bassett and a host of entertainment-industry types among his neighbors. Plus, the schools are good. To borrow his oft-quoted phrase: It's "so money. " Still, it will be a big change from his three-level penthouse atop Chicago's Palmolive Building.
