For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions from the California Assn. of Nurserymen: As bougainvillea vines approach blooming time, cut back on the water for a more intense show of color. Both corn and beans can still be planted at two-week intervals to prolong harvest. If your lawn has brown spots and low-flying moths in the evening, you might have a problem with lawn moth larvae. Consult a nurseryman about eliminating this pest.
