Malfunctioning chlorination equipment created a chlorine gas cloud over a children's wading pool at a water park, injuring 40 children and an adult who went to help them, authorities said. Twelve to 14 youngsters, all under age 5, were hospitalized in serious condition after the incident, but most of the others were released, said Laurel Kopfman of American Ambulance. Some were sent home after being checked at the scene of the accident, Wild Water Adventures, east of Fresno.
